Dr. Chris McArthur, Dr. Ahmed Oudah, and our entire team follow strict infection prevention and sterilization protocols in accordance with guidelines established by Occupational Health and Safety, Public Health authorities, the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), and the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO). These measures include:

• Disinfectant hand soap
• Gloves and face masks
• Chemical disinfection of countertops and clinical surfaces
• Sterilization of all equipment before every use
• Use of disposable materials where appropriate

We thoroughly sterilize all reusable equipment, including dental handpieces. An autoclave is used to eliminate bacteria and viruses through a combination of steam, heat, and pressure. We also utilize SteriTraces infection control systems to support detailed sterilization tracking and accountability throughout our office.
